Jade Hoffman (she/ her)

Hi, my name is Jade (she/her), and I am a transgender woman. I am originally from Gilbert, Arizona but have lived in Flagstaff for the last 5 years. I am an intern currently finishing up in the NAU Clinical Mental Health counseling program. One of my personal values is understanding the importance of providing a healing, safe space for LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodivergent individuals. My approach to therapy is client-centered and strength-based. As far as my counseling style goes, I take influence from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I believe that humans heal through connection, and eliminating real/perceived barriers to connection is extremely empowering. The transgender experience varies from person to person, and it is my goal to understand my clients' personal definition of gender and how that relates to their life experiences. Curiosity, growth, and acceptance are all values that I like to emphasize with clients.

Outside of therapy, you can see me lifting weights, writing music, gaming, cooking, or spending time with my fiancé and my pet rabbit, Babydoll.
