Adam Fajardo (he/they)

My name is Adam Fajardo and I am a Clinical Mental Health Masters student with Adams State University and have called the wonderful city of Flagstaff my home for more than 10 years. My passion for counseling is deeply personal and tied to my own identities, and I value and am committed to help those navigate challenging emotions, feelings of uncertainty, life transitions, and with the weight of not feeling “enough.” It’s not uncommon to feel lost while trying to balance the expectations of others, cultural or personal identities, and the complexities of relationships and self-discovery. And for those who are Neurodiverse, these challenges can sometimes feel even more overwhelming, as managing focus, motivation, or organization adds another layer to an already full plate. Life doesn’t have to feel this way forever, and you deserve to feel empowered, understood, and in control of your path.

In therapy, we will create a safe and affirming space where you can feel truly seen and supported as you explore life and change on your own terms. We will utilize client centered, values and attachment based approaches, which may include ACT, Mindfulness, and other attachment based modalities, while also staying committed to collaborating and tailoring therapy to your own needs and goals. I specialize in supporting individuals from diverse and unique backgrounds, particularly, but not exclusively Hispanic/Latinx individuals, those within the LGBTQIA+ community, and those who identify as neurodivergent too. I am committed to helping you uncover patterns, build resilience, and develop practical strategies that fit your life, while creating a safe and affirming environment to process, grow and become your truest self.  You don’t have to navigate this journey alone! Together, we’ll work toward the life you envision just one step at a time.
